My Pen
At an Air Force Reserve weekend training session, we were all gathered in the main room for training. Sgt. Russell, a really decent middle-aged guy, had passed around a clipboard for everyone to sign for attendance. When he got it back, he said is his slow drawl when he noticed his pen was missing he'd passed around with it "Who's got my pen?" When nobody responded, he looked down at the names and said "The ink changes at Carl Blair!"
Last Day of School
On the last day of school my senior year, Carl got a bright idea. He put something in a side door of Clearfield High School's auditorium. We then went back that night with a couple friends and a cousin. Carl opened the door and we crawled up through the scaffolding above the stage and outside onto the roof over the over the stage and spent the night.
Carl and Chris Bassett
Carl had ridden to Provo from Clearfield with Chris Bassett one day. Chris had been hit by a car (I believe from running a stop sign). While they were waiting for the ambulance to arrive, Carl was standing there looking down at him. Instead of offering comfort, Carl just said "show-off".
